Your family's details, and where they go
For Pebbletrip: the website, pebbletrip.com, and the Pebbletrip app for Android. Updated 15 October 2026.
We never ask who you are: no account, no name, no email. To plan your days we need to know where you're going, when, and how old the children are, and we keep that with your trip, on our own server in France, until you delete it. We don't sell it, show you adverts, or track you across other sites. The words you describe a trip in are read by a language model on our own server and not kept. You can delete your trips in Settings.
Who we are
Pebbletrip is made by the Pebbletrip team at RS Innotech Ltd, which decides what happens to the details on this page. Questions, and any of the requests below: [email protected].
What we keep
- Your trips
- Where and when you're going, how many adults, and the children's ages. Whatever else you tell us for the plan: interests, pace, how you'll get around, where you set off from, when you land, a hotel you've already booked, and food or access needs such as vegetarian or a pushchair. Not names: children are "Child 1" and "Child 2". Your browser holds a random number that says which trips are yours, and that is all that ties a trip to you. If you send a trip to another device, its link carries a long random key; anyone who has the link can open the trip, and making a new link stops the old one.
- The words you describe a trip in
- Read once, to fill in the plan, and not kept. They stay in your own browser, so they're there when you come back to change them.
- What happens on the site
- We count visits: the page you arrived on; the name of the site that sent you, such as google.com, but never the address you came from; the country and city Cloudflare reads from your connection; whether it's a phone, tablet or computer; your browser's language; whether this browser has been here before; how long the site was open; and which of its screens you opened and which buttons and links you pressed, by the words on them, with a trip's own name taken out. Nothing you type is recorded. We also count things like "a trip was built" or "a place was swapped", to know what works. These counts carry the random number your browser holds and the kind of device and browser, and never your connection's address (IP). The counting is done by Umami, open-source analytics running on our own server, not by Google or any other company; it keeps its counts until we delete them. The few counts our own server keeps about trips are deleted after 90 days. For some visits it also records where on the page you click and scroll, with every word on the page and everything typed hidden. The ready-made trips on the Plan page come from how many families plan each place, and for how many nights; a route is shown only once five families have planned it, and never with anyone's dates, ages or names.
- Your internet address
- Our server doesn't record it. It holds it for a minute or two, to stop any one address sending too many requests, and then forgets it.
On your device
The Pebbletrip app for Android is this site, opened in Chrome without its address bar: it keeps and sends exactly what the site does, and nothing more. It asks for no permissions, and has no advertising ID.
No cookies. Your browser's own storage keeps its random number, a note that it has been here before, the trip you have open, a half-finished plan with the words you described it in, and your display settings, so they're there when you come back. It's needed for the site to work, which is why there's no banner asking. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes it.
Who else sees any of it
- OVHcloud hosts our server in Gravelines, France, and Cloudflare carries every visit to it and keeps our backups in the EU. Both work for us and may use what passes through only to do that.
- OpenFreeMap draws the maps, and the streets and buildings of the trip in 3D. Your browser asks it for the part of the map on screen, so it sees your internet address and that area.
- Weather, places, stays and photographs come from MET Norway, NASA, OpenStreetMap, LiteAPI, Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikivoyage, and from a place's own website for its photograph, and komoot's Photon finds a hotel you've booked by its name. Our server asks them about places, names and coordinates, and passes their photographs on. To find a stay's price, LiteAPI is told the dates and how many adults and children, with the children's ages. Nothing about who you are is sent.
- Links you choose to follow, to Google Maps and the like, take you to that site under its own rules.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising.
Booking and tickets
Pebbletrip sells nothing and takes no payment. Three buttons take you to companies that do, and if you book with them they may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it never decides what we suggest: the planner chooses places and stays without knowing which ones earn.
- Find tickets, on a museum, zoo, castle or park, opens GetYourGuide's search for that place. The link carries the place's name and town and our partner number, nothing about you. GetYourGuide then uses its own cookies to remember that you came from us. Its privacy policy applies there, and you can turn its marketing cookies off under "Cookies and Marketing Preferences" at the foot of its pages.
- Book, on a stay, opens Booking.com, or Expedia, Hotels.com or Agoda if you choose one of those, on a search already filled in with the hotel, your dates, and how many adults and children with the children's ages, so it opens on the right search. It goes by way of Stay22, our partner for stays, which passes you straight on and uses its own cookies to remember that you came from us. Stay22's privacy policy and cookie policy (where you can turn its advertising cookies off) apply to that step, and the booking site's own privacy policy after it.
- Search cars on DiscoverCars, on a trip by hire car, opens DiscoverCars' page for the town or airport where the trip starts. The link carries that place and our partner name, nothing about you: your dates and your children's ages are shown on the card for you to enter there yourself. To say which place has a page, our server asks DiscoverCars' public pages about the town, never about you. DiscoverCars then uses its own cookies to remember that you came from us. Its privacy policy and cookie policy apply there. The "Car hire" and "Tickets & tours" links at the foot of our pages go to DiscoverCars and GetYourGuide in the same way, with only our partner name.
Before you leave, our server counts which of them you went to, and from which trip, to learn what families find useful. It never learns what you booked or paid.
How long we keep it
- A trip: until you delete it, or a year after the holiday ends.
- The counts of what happens on the site: 90 days.
- Backups: anything deleted is gone from them within eight days.
Why we're allowed to
We use your trip's details to plan the trip you asked for. We count what happens on the site, and hold an address for a minute, to keep the site working and safe. Food and access needs we use only because you chose to give them to us, and you can take them off the trip at any time.
What you can ask for
A copy of your trips, a correction, or their deletion. You can delete them yourself: Settings, then Delete my trips, and confirm. For anything else, write to [email protected] and we'll answer within a month. If you're not happy with the answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Pebbletrip is for adults planning a trip for their family or friends, not for children to use themselves. When children come along we ask only for their ages, to plan days they'll enjoy, and never their names.
If this changes
We'll update this page and its date. If a change means your details would be used in a new way, we'll say so on the site before it happens.
